Biphasic isophane insulin injection I.P. by Novo Nordisk is a premixed human insulin: part of each dose is soluble, short-acting insulin and the rest is isophane (NPH) insulin, so one injection gives both a quick effect and a longer, intermediate one.

What biphasic isophane insulin is

Insulin is the hormone that moves glucose from the blood into muscle, liver and fat cells. Premixed preparations like this one are prescribed for diabetes and are usually injected under the skin shortly before a meal, once or twice a day. In bodybuilding insulin is known for driving nutrients into muscle, but it is the product in this catalogue with the narrowest margin for error.

A premix is a cloudy suspension: it is rolled gently between the palms before each injection, never shaken, and unopened stock is kept in a refrigerator.
